“At First Light”

“At First Light provides both excellent close and distant views of the military action beginning
shortly after daylight on 12 May 1864 with the attack by the Union Second Corps
against the northern face of the Confederate Salient.
I am greatly impressed by the work, especially the attention to detail and accuracy of the
close-up items of flag, sergeant, and traverse.
Additional troops from both armies would be fed into the cauldron here and
the fighting would continue non-stop for more than twenty hours.”

The Battle of Spotsylvania.
