"FDNY at The Great Jones Street”

Ladder 9 and Engine 33 of FDNY are brigaded together at the historic station

on The Great Jones Street in Manhattan.

The Great Jones Street is a continuation of 3rd Street east of

Washington Square Park.

The station was designed by Ernest Flagg and W.P. Chambers.
Ladder 9 is a 2002 Seagrave tower ladder and Engine 33 is a

1998 Seagrave pumper.

On September 11, 2001, these two companies together lost a total of 10 firefighters

and officers, who are memorialized on the plaque in

the first floor window.
